As many people, I am interested in following the SP path and I see there are no official resources available. Does anyone would like to participate? This is the idea:. The most people participate in this little project the faster and more interesting it would become. What do you thing? Do you have an idea? I am sure all of the interested people would like to hear about it.
Sounds awesome little project! I for one would be interested in helping out where I can. One thing I would ask to change would be to remove the word "unauthorized". From my perspective as a viewer it doesn't fill me with confidence and somewhat appears that the document was "disapproved" by Cisco when infact they haven't said anything. I'd just drop that word. Something that isn't as disheartening.
S - Content looks good so far! I'd personally make some format tweaks but nice work so far. I agree with Josh, people do judge books by their titles and so they may think that the material doesn't cover the exam.
I also think that editing a single document would quickly become unwieldy. My suggestion would be to break it up into dedicated chapters on particular topics. Thanks for your comments. I took them into account and made some modifications. I did want to place the file in a "Collaboration section" so anyone interested could modify it but I did not find any.
So, I just published it as it is. Hi guys!!! Just decided to pursue this cert August and as I was looking for books I couldn't find any. I found that a lot of the topics is going to be whitepapers and practical knowledge.
Product knowledge is heavy throughout this cert so make sure you know the in's and out's of each device in the portfolio. If you can't get access to the physical gear then just make sure you brute force memorise any platform specific commands and output for the exam.
If you put the effort in, however, it is easily achievable. Thanks Sarah and David, i sure hope i will, im pretty nervous about this exam.
Fingers crossed i pass though. The exam wasn't actually that bad. I was quite pleased with my score as well. Well done, Raymond!
I'm sure SP world welcomes you warmly! Very keen to know how and what you used to prepare for the SP exam. Tell us more! It was really quite difficult to study for with the lack of material but these were my main sources. There was a really good youtube playlist i found that had over a hundred videos that helped as well.
It was good, but like any virtual platform, limiting with what i could do but at least it gave me most of what i needed. It would be a great project and well worth it as there is very little in the way of Cisco provided books other than whitepapers. Let me know if i can help.
